郁单瀅  danying

Danying Yu (b. 1997, Shanghai) works in London 

Danying is an artist-researcher whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, drawing, and photography. Her work examines how individuals navigate and adapt to space within transitional living conditions, particularly in contexts of informal housing, foregrounding local knowledge, resourcefulness, and the resilience embedded in vernacular spatial practices. Through collaborations with local communities and the use of found and modest materials, she explores spatial agency, improvised architectures, and the aesthetics of lived experience. She is a member (MRSS) of the Royal Society of Sculptors.
